Orro bikes are among the most stylish and elegant bikes you will find at Flat Hary's. Don't let their beauty deceive you though, Orro put great emphasis on technological innovation and performance when producing their high quality bikes. They are very proud to be part of Britain's famous frame-designing tradition and endeavour to utilise many local sources of innovation and materials. Orro's finished products are nothing short of a triumph in style, comfort and performance.
Orro are committed to using the best of British technological innovation. A great example of this is their collaboration with Oxford based carbon producer Sigmatex, to use their Spread-Tow carbon (STC) technology on their best models. This is further exemplified by their choice of location in Ditchling Beacon, Sussex. This means Orro have one of the finest and most historically notable climbs in British Bike racing, on their doorstep. They fully utilise their prime location to test all of their bikes. Refusing to get carried away with the marginal gains a wind-tunnel and obsessive data-crunching might confer, Orro instead choose to test their bikes on the Beacon limb and other British roads for tangible gains in realistic performance. This focus on real world testing gives Orro's designers the freedom to express themselves stylistically, whilst the Ditchling Beacon test runs make sure that the bike is still a pleasure to ride.
Orro are passionate about the art of designing bike frames and each bike they produce is lovingly assembled and finished by hand by their own highly trained mechanics at their assembly facility in their headquarters. Each bike has to meet their own exceptionally high standards before leaving Sussex, to ensure a quality build. If Orro cannot find materials that meet their own very high standards to use, they will develop such materials for themselves. Orro Carbon Technology (OCT) is their proprietary custom blend of carbon fibre that ensures a supple yet responsive ride. Orro produce unique frame shapes, as part of their Orro shape design (OSD) with oversized downtubes and low bottom brackets to encourage comfort and stability so you can enjoy your ride.
Orro currently presents a range of bike frames, which they categorise via their conceptualisation of the elements. Orro's Gold STC frame is their top frame designed for Gran Fondo riding, providing the perfect blend of comfort, speed and efficiency. Orro present the element of Earth in their Terra gravel bike range, comprised of both aluminium and carbon bikes which can take you places you've never been before. The new Terra Carbon frame is super stylish and highly versatile, capable of being a high performing gravel, winter, commuting and touring bike. The Yara compact bike is inspired by the of element of water and is specifically designed for petite riders, as opposed to being arbitrarily downscaled from larger models. The Pyro is based on the element of fire and is a carbon framed, relaxed geometry endurance bike designed for sportive riding. The short and stiff carbon Aira frame has a racey geometry, with very direct handling for shorter and more aggressive rides. Finally their FE range presents a series of two steel framed bikes, reminiscent of classic frames of years gone by.
Despite Orro's attention to detail and proud collaboration with British manufacturers, their bikes do not break the bank. Orro does not sponsor any race teams, so you know any money you spend on your bike is purely on research, development, materials and labour. Every bike comes with high quality components, provided by the likes of Deda, Fulcrum and Shimano. Orro's preference for real world testing, means that they can offer a highly competitive and enjoyable ride for either the entry level cyclist or the experienced connoisseur, all for a reasonable price.
