Lightweight, responsive and smooth, Fulcrum's Racing Zero wheelset is built for top quality performance. The triple milled aluminium rims reduce the peripheral weight at the edge of the rims for improved reactivity and a reduction in overall weight. Thanks to Fulcrum's MoMag technology the rims on the Racing Zero's don't have any spoke holes, producing a uniform and therefore stronger rim that doesn't need rim tape, reducing weight. The Racing Zero's spoke nipples are placed in the sealed rim via the hole for the valve stem and are then guided into place using an external magnet. The rear rim is 30mm deep for improved power transfer with the front rim being 27mm deep for greater reactivity. Both rims are designed with counter weight opposite their joints to make sure that the weight on opposite sides of the wheel is the same for smooth and consistent rolling. The Racing Zero's have an exclusive rim/spoke coupling system so they can use lighter and stiffer aluminium spokes, with the unique nipples aligning properly with the hub for equal tensioning across the wheel. Fulcrum's engineers have also redesigned the housings for the spokes and hubs, ensuring that the spokes will never lose their initial tension, boosting their longevity considerably and keeping them in optimal aerodynamic position too.

The Racing Zero's hubs are the first in Fulcrum's range with their excellent Ultra-Smooth bearing system (USB). Fulcrum's USB hubs use ceramic bearings which are incredibly smooth for significantly improved performance. Ceramic bearings are also lighter and require less maintenance. The Racing Zero's front hub is carbon fibre for extra stiffness, strength and weight reduction. The aluminium rear hub is built with an oversized flange on the drive side for increased torsional strength to benefit longevity and power transfer. The freehub is plasma treated to make the aluminium very hard-wearing, increasing the lifespan of the Racing Zero's, whilst also allowing the aluminium on the freehub to be much thinner for reduced weight.
